Our Team

We are a dedicated and dynamic group of professionals who provide assessment, treatment and biofeedback services to adults, seniors, children, adolescents, couples, and families in the Ottawa area.  Our team consists of:

Dr.  Tammie Ricci, C.Psych.

Dr. Tammie Ricci received a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from York University in Toronto.  She is bilingual and has trained in a variety of clinical settings including the Clarke Institute of Psychiatry, the Chiropractic College, and the WSIB Rehabilitation Centre (Downsview) in Toronto.  She has worked at the Office for Persons with Disabilities at Carleton University and at the Rehabilitation Centre in Ottawa.  She has been in private practice for the last nine years.  Dr.  Ricci is a registered member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario with declared competencies in clinical and rehabilitation psychology.  She is also a member of the American Psychological Association, the Canadian Psychological Association, the Ontario Psychological Association, the Canadian Academy of Psychologists in Disability Management, and the Canadian Registry of Health Care Providers.  Dr.  Ricci has extensive experience in assessment and treatment of MVA clients, conducts independent evaluations, and provides expert witness testimony.  She is also a registered provider for the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board and offers services to a variety of settings including the Ontario March of Dimes, LTD insurers, the RCMP, and DND. Dr. Ricci offers assessment and treatment services in both English and French.


Dr.  Nadine Rossy, C.Psych.

Dr. Nadine Rossy completed her Ph. D. at Dalhousie University under the supervision of Dr. Pat McGrath and Dr. Micheal Sullivan.  She completed her undergraduate degree at McGill University under the supervision of Dr. Ronald Melzack.  Her research training has focused on the treatment and management of pain.  Her clinical interests include the treatment and assessment of children, adolescents, adults, and families in rehabilitation, health, and clinical psychology. Dr. Rossy offers treatment from cognitive behavioural approach.  Biofeedback assessment and treatment is also offered.  Her assessment areas include motor vehicle accidents, short and long term disability, medical legal, learning disability, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.  Child assessment services include psychoeducational, learning disability, Aspergers', Autism, and giftedness.  Dr. Rossy offers assessment and treatment services in both English and French.


Dr. Paul Mendella, C.Psych.

Dr. Paul Mendella is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario as a Clinical Neuropsychologist. He obtained his PhD in Clinical Psychology at Dalhousie University, and completed pre-doctoral and post-doctoral training in adult clinical neuropsychology at The Ottawa Hospital. Dr. Mendella has extensive experience in the assessment of various neurological (e.g. traumatic brain injury; dementia; multiple sclerosis) and psychiatric (e.g. adult ADHD; depression; schizophrenia) conditions. He has also conducted insurer examinations and psycho-legal assessments. In addition to his private practice work, Dr. Mendella provides neuropsychological services within the Champlain District Regional First Episode Psychosis Program at The Ottawa Hospital. He also serves as a consulting neuropsychologist for The Ottawa Senators. He has an appointment as a Clinical Professor in the School of Psychology at The University of Ottawa, and has published research articles in peer-reviewed neuroscience and neuropsychology journals. He is actively involved in the clinical supervision and teaching of psychology students. Dr. Mendella is a member of several professional organizations including the Canadian Psychological Association, National Academy of Neuropsychology, International Neuropsychological Society, and the Schizophrenia International Research Society.


Ms. Julie Burbidge (Supervised Practice)

Ms. Burbidge received her M.Sc. from Queen's University and is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in clinical psychology at Queen's University. Her clinical interests include both assessment and treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and adjustment to trauma. She offers individual therapy to adults using a variety of approaches, specializing in cognitive-behavioural and dialectical behaviour therapy approaches. She also provides biofeedback assessment and treatment. Ms. Burbidge does general psychodiagnostic and psychoeducational assessments, as well as assessments specific to motor vehicle accidents and short and long term disability. She has received training with several clinical populations and across various settings, including the Providence Care Personality Disorders Service, the Developmental Disabilities Consulting Program in Kingston, and the Queen's University Student Counselling Service.

 

Mr. David Duong (Supervised Practice)

Mr. Duong received his M.A. from Queen's University and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in clinical psychology at the University of Waterloo. His main clinical interests include assessment and treatment of adults with mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, personality disorders, pain management, and adjustment to disability. His primary approach to therapy is based on cognitive-behavioural theory but he is also influenced by principles of mindfulness and dialectical behaviour therapy. Mr. Duong provides general psychodiagnostic and psychoeducational assessments as well as individual therapy. He recently completed a pre-doctoral residency at The Ottawa Hospital.

 

Ms.  Natalie Beck-Livingstone, M.Ed. (Vocational Evaluator)

Ms. Beck-Livingstone is a Vocational Evaluator as well as a Career and Vocational Counsellor.  She completed an undergraduate degree at Queen’s University in 1988.  She obtained a Master’s degree in Educational Counselling from the University of Ottawa in 1993.  She has completed educational training in standardized testing, research and testing statistics in addition to vocational evaluation techniques and methods.  She has been working in the field of vocational rehabilitation since 1993.  Additionally, she is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), a Member of the Canadian Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (CARP) and a member of the Canadian Assessment, Vocational Evaluation and Work Adjustment Society (CAVEWAS).  She is currently in the process of completing the requirements to become a Certified Vocational Evaluator (CVE). Ms. Beck-Livingstone offers services in English and French.
